The Genoa Robot Status

The origin of the logitudinal (long) movement measured with a linear gauge shows values with a full spreading of ±3µm. A second gauge mesures the distance between the cradle and the head of the robot. ( A measure of the ripple of the chariot movement). The measured values shows a full range of 40 µm ( that includes cradle sagitta and gear worm defects). The value read when the chariot reaches a gluing position is used for correcting the position of the head. Chuck. The new chuck was checked with Module 4. The detaching strength is around 40g Glue. SE445 tubes are kept on a rotating platform ( 1 tour / 5 sec ) to avoid decantation. The glue components are weigthed before mixing. The glue shows a viscosity depending by the working time, so before depositing glue on the stave we do some crosses on a test paper. The steady condition is reached after 4-6 crosses. Problems with needles with internal diameters 0.009" and 0.016" With both of them we got several stops of the glue. The better contidions are with 0.020" needle, a pressure of 1.8 bar and increasing the time between mixing and depositing. next page |
