IEEE NSS 2003
Software and Computing for Detectors, Computing GRID

For the first time, this year the IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium programme will include a track dedicated to Software and Computing.

The programme is articulated into:

Perspectives of Computing, Software & GRID
Detector simulation and reconstruction 1 (mostly calorimetry)
Detector simulation and reconstruction 2 (space science, PID)
Computing in HEP experiments
Software for bio-medical applications
New computing technologies and tools

dealing with topics such as:

  • Simulation of detectors and of particle interactions with matter
  • Data analysis tools, algorithms and methods
  • Systems for distributed computing, GRID
  • Computing architecture and infrastructure in experiments
  • Applications in High Energy and Nuclear Physics, Astrophysics and Space Science, Medical Physics and other domains

Contacts

Please feel free to contact the Conveners, Jürgen Knobloch (CERN) and Maria Grazia Pia (INFN Genova), or  the NSS 2003 Organizing Committee, for further information.

Geant4 Course

The conference programme will include a Geant4 Short Course, organized by the Geant4 Collaboration.
