SHIPMENTS in Pixel Production Database

Once an item is entered into the DB, it is mandatory to use the shipment access module to ship
the item between the labs or to/from firms. If this step is omitted when a real shipment took place,
then the new owner of the item will not be allowed in the DB to assemble or to ship it once more.

Important!
The document containing Production database shipment number and Item
serial numbers should always be sent together with shipped items.

Send-Receive Shipment from web page

Java applications for Shipments:

NEW! NEW!  Receive Item by serial number (update from 27.11.2002).

The application ReceiveItem allows to receive shipped Items by Item serial number.

Important:
No trigger  is implemented in the PDB to update components Owner and Location!
Only this application allows to receive Assemblies together with all the substrucure.

To receive ModuleFEIPrototype, BareFEIModuleProt and FlexMCCPrototype
always use this application!

The file applications-SHIP-PDB.zip contains 2 related files:

java application archive file SHIPMENTS.jar, which you should put to the standard
java archive place (C:\PixelPDB)
and add it to CLASSPATH variable:
set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;C:\PixelPDB\SHIPMENTS.jar
or set up in:
Settings -> Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Environment Variables

command file ReceiveItem.BAT to run the application.

.

ATTENTION!
Application MultiReceive is only for Sensor or Electronics Wafer!

Electronics FE chips Shipments (update from 30.10.2002).

The application SendElectronics allows to send FE chips by wafer name and local numbers.

The file applications-SHIP-PDB.zip contains 3 files which you need for FE chips Shipment:

java application archive file SHIPMENTS.jar, which you should put to the standard
java archive place (C:\PixelPDB)
and add it to CLASSPATH variable:
set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;C:\PixelPDB\SHIPMENTS.jar
or set up in:
Settings -> Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Environment Variables

FE-SHIP.txt - the example of input file. The FE chips from only one Wafer can be shipped in once,
so there may be from 1 to 224 chip numbers (chip number, for example, is 0306B). Wafer name should
appear as it is registered in the database, without space characters or other additional symbols.

SendElectronics.BAT - the command file to run this application saving log window.

Sensor and Electronics Wafer Shipments.

Sensor Wafer substructure contains 35 subitems which we consider as separate Items even before
wafer dicing. This allows, for example, to follow each tile history and to collect its test results separately
from wafer production until module mounting.

Electronics Wafer contains 112 x 3 subitems.

As a result, in the database we have Wafer and its components as separate Items. Therefore,

to implement Sensor Wafer shipment in the database
we must ship wafer + wafer components as separate Items!

One may put manually all 36 Items for Sensors or 336 Items for Electronics but it is more convenient to use
Java application. This java application is similar to one we use to upload Sensor wafer + components.

Please get applications-SHIP-PDB.zip and unzip it.  The file contains:

an input file examples SENSORSHIP.txt and EL-WAFSHIP.txt,  the sender Shipment data

java application archive file SHIPMENTS.jar, which you should put to the standard
        java archive place (usually C:\PixelPDB)
and add it to CLASSPATH variable:
        set CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;C:\PixelPDB\SHIPMENTS.jar

command file SendSensorWafer.BAT  to run the Send Sensor wafer java application.

command file SendElectronicsWafer.BAT  to run the Send Electronics wafer java application.

command file MultiReceive.BAT to run the Receive java application.

You also can run the applications from command prompt:

To send

        C:\atlas\measurement > java SendSensorWafer
        C:\atlas\measurement > java SendElectronicsWafer
or:
        C:\atlas\measurement > java SendSensorWafer SENSORSHIP.txt username passwd
        C:\atlas\measurement > java SendElectronicsWafer EL-WAFSHIP.txt username passwd

After you run the Send application, go to the PDB Shipment web page, find your shipment
and VALIDATE it by updating the field "Send Confirmation Date":
put the date in that field and click "Update" button.

To receive

        C:\atlas\measurement > java MultiReceive
or:
        C:\atlas\measurement > java MultiReceive ship_number username passwd

See General Help to learn more about java applications.

The action of the triggers are the following*:

Actions when confirm date is updated in SHIP table:

 1.Set the owner of SHIP entry to "Sent";
2.Update the owner of all entries of SHIP_ITEMS, for the corresponding ship number, to
    destination institute username;
 3.Update location name of all the shipped items to Unknown in ITEM table;
4.Update the owner of all shipped items "Sent".

Actions when reception is confirmed for each item in SHIP_ITEM table:

1.Update location name of the corresponding shipped item to the receiver location name in ITEM
    table;
2.Update the owner of the corresponding shipped item to the username of the receiver in ITEM
    table.
3.Update the owner of all the shipped assemblies with that serial number to the receiver
    username in ASSM_ITEM.
