ADDRESS: Via Garibaldi 11
| The gallery, grown from a private collection, includes
works of painters of the flemish school (Hans Memling, Anton Van Dyck,
Peter Paul Rubens, Jan Massys) which seem to have been alltime preferred
by the genoese nobles for the representations of their family and personal
glories. Works of several distinguished italian (e.g. Caravaggio) and spanish
(e.g. Murillo, Zurbaran) painters are also exposed. Of course the most
famed local artists are widely represented.
In the picture Venus and Mars, by Peter Paul Rubens. |
