CANDIDATE HIGGS EVENT IN THE hee CHANNEL
to be updated - part of info from proc. C
Run 79691 evt. 1002
Quite solid event, no quantity near the cuts:
2 tight electrons in HPC, energies (best Elephant) 63.97 GeV and 20.49 GeV
isolation from jets 82.7 and 32.2 degrees
fixed HPC energies 55.6 and 20.6 GeV
dedx 1.565 1.615
2nd jet multiplicity 7
Missing p 42.7 GeV/c, missing pz 19.6 GeV/c, missing E 4.5 GeV(this from proc C)
5C fitted mass 86.4 +2.2 -2.4 GeV with a M(ee)=70 GeV and prob. 1.27%
Forcing M(ee)=91.2 GeV, m=70.7 GeV (from proc.C) and prob 0.115E-5%
4C fit m=89.10 GeV, M(ee)=67.5 GeV, prob ~1%(from proc.C)
btag: probp 0.82E-7, probs 0.44E-6 (proc. D new btag)
DELGRA pictures: xz view and xy view (from processing C)
Another DELGRA picture (nothing new but better for transparency and from processing D)
NEW: a plots page shows how this candidate is situated (for several variables) with respect to the main background source, i.e. e+e-qq~ events. It is rather evident that it falls in any case in quite populated regions of the background. The only exception is the btag variable, that is much smaller than for most of the selected eeqq events.
