Introduction: Endotracheal tube suctioning is essential for enhance oxygenation within the patients undergoing mechanical ventilation. There are two forms of shallow and deep endotracheal tube suctioning. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of shallow and deep suctioning methods on respiratory rate (RR), painless SPO2 testing arterial blood oxygen saturation (BloodVitals SPO2) and variety of suctioning in patients hospitalized in the intensive care units of Al-Zahra Hospital, Isfahan, Iran. Methods: In this randomized managed trial, seventy four patients who hospitalized in the intensive care units of Isfahan Al-Zahra Hospital have been randomly allotted to the shallow and blood oxygen monitor deep suctioning teams.
