IFR TDC Board (ITB)

The IRF TDC Board (ITB) will be used to identify the bunch crossing of the event using the good time resolution of Resistive Plate Chamber (RPC). The input signal will be the Fast-OR of the Front-End Card (FEC) which is used to read out 16 strips. The ITB will follow the Babar protocol, and will be installed in the IFR FE crate togheter with the IFR FIFO Board (IFB) and the IFR Calibration Board (ICB). The output data will be collected through the Protocol Distribution Board (PDB) and sent to the Readout Module (ROM) via the G-link. The preliminary design of the board is based on the 32-channel TDC chip designed at CERN for LHC experiments.
